November 18, 2022: Wilmington, NC to Fort Lauderdale, FL

There are a few continents left to explore and more adventures to be had. We’ve decided to join a Holland America (HAL) cruise to South America, heading through the Panama Canal after making a brief stop in Aruba. Exploring the west coast of South America will find us leaving the ship for a few days, after reaching Ecuador, to fly to the Galápagos Islands, a Darwinian experience! Rejoining the ship, we’ll explore Peru and Chili, sail through Glacier Alley in Ushuaia, Argentina, through the Straight of Magellan and around Cape Horn. Heading up the east coast, we’ll check out a King Penguin rookery in the Falkland Islands, tour Montevideo, Uruguay, and end in Buenos Aires after a spectacular nature show at Iguazu Falls. We’ll leave the Oosterdam after our Buenos Aires arrival and spend a couple days on our own exploring this fascinating city. Here we go!
